Projects will be judged in the schools between 27th April and 15th May 2009. One or two
judges, members of the committee or representatives of the sponsors,
will visit your school at a mutually agreed time. They will appreciate
an opportunity to talk to the pupils involved as well as seeing their
work.
Entries will be marked out of a hundred for the following aspects of the project:
- Content, including especially local relevance and context (10 marks)
- Process, including pupils' chronological awareness (10 marks), their historical knowledge (10 marks), their understanding of interpretations and representations (10 marks) and their enquiry skills in the use of sources (10 marks) total 40 marks
- Evaluation and presentation, including pupils' understanding of the project (20 marks) and the way they have organised and communicated this in the presentation of the project (20 marks) total 40 marks
- Impact the way in which the project has been disseminated and the contribution it has made to heritage awareness (10 marks)
