There are four trustees who meet regularly and administer the Initiative on a day-to-day basis:

Chair: Lady Trotman-Dickenson (Professor Emeritus, University of Glamorgan)

History Consultant: David Maddox OBE (Deputy Chief Executive, ESIS)

Treasurer and Moderator of Schools' Projects: Walter Jones (Museums Education Consultant)

Secretary and Co-ordinator of Judging: Iris Hopkins (Headteacher, rtd.)

The Trustees are assisted by a Committee, which includes people from a range of educational institutions in Wales and representatives from museums and businesses. Together with representatives of the sponsors, they act as judges of the competition.
